Shipping Orders in AMS
TRACKING # RETRIEVAL FROM SC INTO AMS
Once you extract orders on AMS, their status will change to SentToFulfillment on ShipCompliant. Your fulfillment house will retrieve the orders from ShipCompliant, process them and assign the shipment a tracking# and ship date. For your orders in Ship Compliant with a shipping point of InHouse, those orders will not be processed by your fulfillment house so your company is in charge of uploading the tracking # into Ship Compliant and changing the order status to shipped.
Every night, AMS will retrieve tracking #'s and Ship Dates from Ship compliant. When you use the Order Management menu option to ship your orders in AMS, you will select Manage Sent To Fulfill.
When you first press Manage Sent To Fulfillment, you will be informed of the minimum requirements on your order search. AMS will automatically filter the orders to meet the minimum requirements if you haven't done so before selecting Manage Sent To Fulfill
After the orders with a status of Sent to Fulfillment are selected on your ORM screen, Select Manage Sent To Fulfill to work with those orders. Thousands of orders can take several minutes to ship so if you are limited on time, just select some orders and Manage sent to Fulfill. Once you get to the screen to manage your orders you will have the option to retrieve tracking info from Ship Compliant. This is only necessary if you believe that the status of an order has changed since the night before since AMS retrieves shipping and tracking info from Ship Compliant nightly. Retrieving up-to-date Ship Compliant data would likely be the case if you manage your orders later in the day and believe orders have been updated to shipped in Ship Compliant that morning. If you want to bypass retrieving the data from ship compliant, select Bypass Retrieval.
If there are no orders that have a combination of a tracking # and a Ship Compliant ship date, then the Ship per Ship Compliant Date will be greyed out. You can still ship them if you want to override the Ship compliant data by selecting Ship Per Date You Enter, but if you would like AMS to reconcile to Ship Compliant then you would wait until Ship Compliant updates the order with a ship date.
If there are orders with a combination of a tracking # and a Ship Compliant ship date then the Ship Per Ship Compliant Date will be available to select.
After pressing Ship Per Ship Compliant Date, you will still be able to enter an optional location. This is only necessary if you would like to override the shipping location that is currently on the orders.
