The field labeled "Order review timeout seconds" tells the system how long to display a completed order for review before clearing it from display.  Three values have special meaning:  Zero (0) suppresses display of the order review screen completely; 99 causes order review to display indefinitely and until explicitly dismissed.  A value of 30 seconds or greater suppresses display of the "Change" screen when change is due.  The next option is to choose whether this register will be  

 

The field labeled "Create Order entry batches" determines whether the register functions in batch mode or not.  Batch mode is for registers that you don't cash in or out.  This mode also allows the clerk to accept order that have yet to be tendered i.e. they have no tender line.  Your back office registers, maintains a cash drawer and needs to be cashed in and out.  Back office registers like your club register, telesales and your internet register registers should be in batch mode .  As for your tasting room registers, these registers (Yes). Tasting room registers with cash drawers should not be in batch mode ;  you will want these registers (No) and should be cashed in and out at the beginning and end of on each day of use.

Mode

is how you want the register to process orders.  If this is a back office register with no cash drawer you will want to have this option set to O for Order.  This a basic setting; strictly for a register that processes back office orders.  R for Register mode would be just  your basic tasting room register, with a cash drawer.  If you have selected T for table mode the register will behave more like a register would at a restaurant, see Tab Mode for Four register Modes determine how a register behaves when processing orders:

R = Regular/Normal Register (with or without cash drawer) with ability to SUSPEND order before payment processing

O = Order Entry (back office)

P = Tip Mode (enables pre-authorization of charge and post-authorization that includes an optional tip amount)  See Tab Mode for more information on how this mode functions.  P for tip mode will allow customers to leave a tip on their credit card, see

T = Table or Open TAB Mode (like an open tab in a restaurant, a transaction may be initiated, suspended, and updated indefinitely until tendered for payment)  See Register in Tip Mode for  for more information on how this mode functions.
